Greece, Dalmatian Gems And Italy Cruise: 14 nights in June 2012.

Take a dreamy two week  holiday and discover Greece, the Dalmatian Gems and Italian beauty. Set Sail from Athens and head for the small port town of Gythion, with it's buildings edging up towards the sea it surrounds the harbour. Nearby is a desolate region of underground lakes and rivers and windswept landscapes. Stop by Katakolon and Preveza, a seaside resort town before arriving in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Relax at a café on marbled streets, listen to the chimes of the 14th-century bell tower or take a walk around the old city walls. Hvar, Croatia is beautifully situated on a large natural bay and is a quiet spot where sail and fishing boats bob and sway in the harbor and a 17th-century bell tower marks off the hours. Winding limestone lanes converge onto an expansive piazza, the largest in Dalmatia. Next stop is Ravenna a peaceful, provincial-looking town and then Venice, the city with an atmosphere that compares to no where. Take a ride on a gondola or walk the quiet streets with bridges over charming canals. Stop in at Opatija, Croatia with it's breathtaking views, followed by Split an ancient city with beaches and promenades. The small restful harbour of Otranto precedes Catania, Sicily's second largest city and capital. At the foot of a large volcano this town has been occupied by a plethora of nationalities over it's history. Sorrento, with an idyllic cliff-top location on the Bay of Naples, has inspired legends for centuries. Sorento is an ideal place o savor the local color, and to shop for embroidered linens, cameos and Capodimonte ceramics. Finish your cruise in Civitavecchia, Italy.
