Week Fantastique: 7 nights in June 2013

Have a fantastic week with the Week Fantastique cruise aboard the Pacific Dawn! The cruise is a round trip from Brisbane, which means less sea time and more port time! The first port of call is after just one day at sea and is the stunning city of Noumea. French and native Kanak language and culture mix in this beachy city, making it an interesting city to explore and experience while the ship is in port. Next comes Lifou, one of the Loyalty Islands and a place of varied landscapes and amazing snorkeling and diving opportunities. The last stop before returning to Brisbane is Port Vila in Vanuatu, a town based around a busy natural harbour. Visit the beaches or the markets where handicrafts and fresh produce are sold.

Island Fiesta: 10 nights in June 2013

Leave from Auckland on a tropical adventure on the Pacific Pearl next winter. This port-packed cruise first visits Mystery Island in Vanuatu after a few days at sea. This tiny uninhabited island will really get you into the swing of relaxing! Next is Port Vila, Vanuatu's capital and a charming city based around a natural harbour, then Lifou, a beautiful isle that is part of New Caledonia's Loyalty Islands.  Lifou's diverse landscape is stunning and so is its seascape, so get snorkelling or diving. Stop in Noumea, New Caledonia's capital city, and the gorgeous Isle of Pines with white sand and tall pine trees before the ship returns to Auckland. All destinations are favourites in the South Pacific, with friendly natives and amazing beaches for watersports or sunbathing. Both cities mix a bit of European culture with the native Melanesian, and Port Vila is great for some market shopping.

Get in quick for the amazing last-minute deals on this cruise. Secret Treasures will introduce you properly to Vanuatu and its tropical treasures. Departing from Sydney, there is a stop at the beautiful Isle of Pines in New Caledonia for a break from sea days before continuing to Mystery Island in Vanuatu. This is an uninhabited piece of paradise, with just a few locals who come for the day to sell handicrafts to cruise passengers. The next stop is the charming city of Port Vila, Vanuatu's capital city set on a natural harbour. Peruse the markets here or sit in a cafe and watch the comings and goings of fishing boats. Pentecost Island is the next stop and is one of the real secret treasures of Vanuatu- here is the sport that gave birth to bungy jumping, vine jumping. Locals tie vines to their ankles and jump off high platforms! A terrifying custom, but one that is entertaining to watch. The island is also home to some absolutely stunning scenery. Before the return to Sydney, the cruise also stops at Luganville, a major export centre for Vanuatu. The town is a walkable distance from the chips and overlooks the pretty Segond Channel.
